Ashley St. Clair, a conservative influencer and children’s book author, has made headlines after revealing that Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and owner of X (formerly Twitter), is the father of her five-month-old child. In a statement posted on X, where she has amassed over 1.1 million followers, St. Clair shared the news, stating that Musk is the father of her newborn, which would make this his 13th child. She explained that she had kept the pregnancy and birth private to protect her child’s privacy and safety but felt compelled to speak out after learning that tabloid media planned to break the story. St. Clair also urged the media to respect her child’s privacy and avoid invasive reporting.
Musk, who is currently leading President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has not directly responded to St. Clair’s claim. However, a screenshot of a 2020 exchange on X resurfaced, showing St. Clair discussing Musk’s history of fathering multiple children and his reputation for moving quickly through relationships. When a user shared this screenshot, Musk responded with a simple “Whoa.” St. Clair then addressed Musk directly on the platform, expressing frustration that he had not communicated with her privately about the situation and instead responded publicly to the screenshot. She asked when he would address her directly rather than engaging with what she described as “smears” from others.
St. Clair’s spokesperson, Brian Glicklich, released a statement on her behalf, confirming that she and Musk had been working on a private agreement regarding the upbringing of their child. Glicklich expressed disappointment that a tabloid reporter had disrupted their efforts to keep the process confidential, making it impossible to finalize the agreement without public scrutiny. He emphasized that St. Clair trusts Musk to acknowledge his role as a parent and finalize the agreement quickly, prioritizing their child’s well-being and security. Despite the ongoing situation, Musk has continued to post actively on X about unrelated topics, including updates on DOGE, SpaceX, and his new Grok artificial intelligence project.
Over the weekend, St. Clair welcomed the New York Post into her luxury Manhattan apartment for an exclusive interview and photo shoot. During the interview, she shared details about her relationship with Musk, stating that they first connected on X in 2023. She revealed that she was flown to San Francisco by Seth Dillon, the CEO of The Babylon Bee, where she met Musk for the first time at Twitter headquarters. St. Clair claimed that Musk later texted her, inviting her to Providence, Rhode Island, and that their relationship progressed from there. She also alleged that Musk funded her upscale Manhattan apartment and provided a security detail during her pregnancy but that their romance eventually ended.
St. Clair told the Post that she was instructed to keep the pregnancy a secret and was isolated during that time, unable to continue her career or share the news with anyone. She showed the outlet texts allegedly exchanged with Jared Birchall, Musk’s money manager and CEO of Neuralink, which she claims support her account. St. Clair expressed feelings of loneliness and confinement, stating, “I was completely isolated during my pregnancy. Every part of my career and everything I used to do I couldn’t do anymore. I was told not to tell anybody.” When reached for comment, Birchall and Musk did not respond immediately.
The news has sparked significant public interest, particularly given Musk’s well-known views on the importance of increasing birth rates in the West. Musk has been open about his large family, having previously had children with several partners, including musician Grimes and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis. His children include twins, triplets, and other offspring, though one of his earliest children, Nevada Alexander, tragically passed away at just 10 weeks old. Most recently, Musk brought his son X Æ A-Xii, whom he shares with Grimes, to a televised meeting with Trump in the Oval Office. St. Clair’s claim adds another layer to Musk’s personal life, which has long been a subject of fascination and scrutiny in the public eye.
